Good guns there Zac!

Here are a couple of my favorites.

I have carried a Woodsman for most of my 55 year hunting life. I could not have selected a pistol I would rather have.

Very nice.... I love the Colts. My buddy has the Match Target but no matter how hard I try I just can't get him to sell it to me. I like the light pencil barrels, I have a Browning Challenger II with a very nice trigger.

The Match Target Woodsman I favor for it's quality and appearance is the Colt Bullseye Match Target.

I found a way to hold these .22 autos when using two hands that's steadier.

I reach out with my left hand and hold the pistols barrel like it was a rifle! Try it.

Good rimfire guns are like potato chips: you can't stop with just one. Enjoy. At the moment with prices and availability of ammo being what it is, you can have more fun with the rimfires than you may have previously thought possible.

Very nice! One day I would like to own a Cooper but I really like the semi-auto.

Nice.

Dustoffer, I also have a 513SA. Just have to find a decent 3/4" scope for it; the Tasco cheapie I have on it may be OK, but I really want a Weaver J2.5. Looking.....

Mine was D&T for a Weaver N2 Sidemount, so I'm restricted to the slim old scopes. I'd just can the scope but my old eyes don't work with open sights any more!

The thing I like about the .22 sporters of that era (1940-50s) is that they feel like centerfire hunting rifles. Nice balance in case you have to stand up on your hind legs to shoot. My brother has a Savage 23AA; one of my friends has a Winchester 75 Sporter. All good; all shoot. The 513SA and the 75 Sporter cost exactly the same the year mine was made, 1954.

Was Mike Armstrong. Got logged off; couldn't log back on. RE-registered my old call sign, Mesa.
