Brand new, unfired AR15.
I bought the lower the day after Sandy Hook shooting. The upper was purchased about 2-3 weeks after shooting. I got the before panic price on the lower, and panic-price on the upper. I am just trying to get my money back out of it. I have decided that I really don't need this rifle. I have had it completed for 3+ months, and have yet to take it out of the safe.
Here are the details:
RRA lower, 6-position stock, standard trigger, brand new
Bushmaster XM15 upper, 16", 5.56 NATO, M4A3, 1x9, pre-ban, A2 front sight, A2 carry handle, brand new, catalog number 91822
Vortex Sparc red dot sight, brand new
ARMS 40L .75MOA BUIS
4 MagPul 30 round magazines, brand new
2 MagPro 10 round magazines
My cost was:
Lower Assembly - $380 Upper - $875 Vortex Sparc - $200 ARMS 40L - $115ish, don't recall exactly 4 30 round MagPul - $80ish 2 10 round ProMag - $60ish
This is a total of $1710. Shipped to your FFL for $1710. I will ship lower to your FFL and all other stuff to your residence, if you wish.
I am not likely looking for trades, but willing to listen.
Thank, Brent

To be honest with you, your rifle package is over priced. You panicked, bought things at the top of the market and now want to offload it at the panic prices when things are returning to normal? You'll likely have to sell it for several hundred below what you paid for it to get anything back out of it. Unless you can find a sucker that is......
You said you were willing to listen so that there is the truth of the matter.

I agree. That said I'll trade a Kimber Montana for the upper, lower, and P mags.

Posts like that happen often, I just ignore the garbage.
Dubya, what caliber Montana are you offering for trade? Think I discovered it is a 338 Federal? If so, I really have no need, but appreciate the offer...
Thank You, Brent

You said you were willing to listen so that there is the truth of the matter. Apparently you haven't been around here long enough to learn that if you don't like someone's price on something, KEEP YOUR TRAP SHUT AND MOVE ON! No one is holding a gun to your head and making you buy this. No one asked for commentary on this ad, or any others. In the future if you don't like a price, that's fine, but don't spew about it!

Is this a .223, 5.56 or other? It is 5.56 NATO. Sorry for leaving that important piece of info out, edited the ad to include now. Brent

Brent,
You've caught some grief on this thread, so I'll give you what I think will be some helpful advice - don't try to sell everything listed as one package. Yes, you felt it was a great package when you put it all together, and there are some others who would agree, but not everybody has the same wants/needs, and $1700 is a lot of money for most people to drop on something all at once.
You can probably get your money back out of some of the pieces fairly easily (e.g., you can probably get more than $20 apiece for the PMags - you might want to keep one of the PMags with the gun and sell the rest of your magazines as a package).
One thing that isn't going to be helping you is that soon there will be more who are trying to sell ARs they bought in the heat of the moment, so you have to figure out what you will be willing to take for the individual components. Selling the magazines, BUIS, and red dot sight separately will help you figure out what the current market price is for each of those pieces.
BTW - I don't think you're going to have to lose "several hundred dollars" if you sell the individual components separately and are willing to take a small loss on one or two components to make the sales. The key is to sell at market prices for each component (some you might make a little money on and some you might lose a little money on).

One other thought - you might package the upper, lower, and magazines all together. There are still shortages of PMags and lowers, and in general, magazines, lowers, and lower components are still selling at premiums compared to October/November prices.
