Here's another mid 80's revolver, S&W Mdl. 16, 32 Mag. 6 In. Bbl., all the T's as they use to say,
this piece will shoot 98 Gr. wad cutters with 2 Grs. of powder in to little piles

That is 2 Grs. of any powder from Bullseye up to about Green dot, you can watch em go,
and they go all the way through the paper target. With that load it makes a first timer
grin that ear to ear grin.

I'v had real bullseye shooters shoot this pistol, with a real target load, and it will do some amazing work.

I have a Ruger Bisley 32 mag with a 6 1/2" barrel and adj sights. Hands down one of the most accurate cartridges out there.

I love it beoucse you can load it down with wadcutters and it sounds and feels like a 22 LR or pump it up with 100/115gr loads and 296 and you have something with some steam behind it.

I always wanted a Smith 32 mag. Very nice one you have there...

I'd love to have the model 16 Combat Masterpiece, but that one's a very rare cat indeed. I've seen a grand total of one. It was in a 3 gun set, 15,16,18; all 4" Combat Msterpieces, all with almost identical weight and feel. I think there's less than an ounce difference between them all.

KG, I tryed to get a Mdl. 18 to go with it, would have made a nice cased pair.

The only 18 I ever saw was in a very busy gun shop, the next day it was gone.

The direct match for your model 16 would be a model 17 with the full underlug (not sure which dash model it is). And yeah, that would be a nice companion. The model 18 is only in the the 4 Combat Masterpiece configuration. The blued model 17s with full underlug are not real common, but the stainless ones are not hard to find at all. I have that same gun in a 4 barrel and it is easily my favorite handgun.
