That's what we use at our hunting camp (Camp Viagra) in Michigan. Works like a charm!

Imagine how these Aussies must feel.

Sounds like a good place to implement my idea for mouse flavored cat food.

Thanks. Due to the GSP critter getter and child licker I have been afraid to use that but I am reduced to no alternative, it seems.

Go to your local pet shop that sales snakes and ask them if they will give you some snake poop that clears the little buggers out pretty fast and if you do not like the idea of the poop just get the snake.

My mom and dads basement was loaded with mice they would kill over 50 every day from there root cellar .
I brought home a small python and let it loose in my room as a pet when I was in high school and with in one week no more mice and they stayed away for over five years after I moved out.
Something in the poop

Why the population explosions, then?

Didn't I read on here about the bucket trap using some liquid other than water to keep the dead mouse from stinking (if left in a hunting cabin for extended time period)? Or maybe it was put powdered lime in the bucket instead of water? I know I'm not making this up-

Many possibilities. Bumper crops of seeds or mast, mild winters or dry seasons, reductions in competitors such as ants or birds or other seed eating insects for reasons unknown.

Many possibilities, and while I hate the cop out that "population dynamics are complex", they are among the most studied ecological phenomena and among the most poorly understood.

The drowning in a bucket deal works well. Use an old piece of weathered lumber for the ramp to make it easier to get up smile

Second route is to put some feed in the bottom of a metal garbage can. However they can, they will get in the can. Play hell getting out though.

chicken ala king mre main meal squeezed out in the bottom of a tall trash can works really well to attract and hold mice

then have some of your soldiers the next morning have a "i love lucy grape stomping/mice stomping contest with em
and out they go to the dumpster with the combat boot squashed remains

cleaned up my cp/office pretty good
got about 20-25 the 1st 3 days
then the population went downhill fast
catch 2-3 at a time every couple of days

they love chicken ala king!!!!
