Nice trout. What were you using?

We fish the Eastern Sierra where a limit can be caught in a half hour. So we lure fish & release all or nearly all fish.

Google images, "Eastern Sierra trophy trout." For CA, the Eastern Sierra is an incredible fishery. God only knows how many lakes and streams there are in the Eastern Sierra.

Small Panther Martin spinners. We fly fish it later in the Spring/Summer.

My friend and i joined in on the fun yesterday. Wind was terrible, but he did catch a few (including the biggest of the day) on a leech patterned fly. I used a yellow Panther Martin and while I caught the most he still had the biggest. A brown trout and a rainbow. Plus we saw a few hundred elk, some deer, antelope and bighorns.

You see in this world, there's two kinds of people my friend; those with loaded guns, and those who dig. You dig.

My friend did take picture of the fish and bighorns. A ewe heard with a small ram in the bunch, The other side of the mtn is usually where the large rams are. We didn't make it over there. The elk were too far away.
