With the help of some great fellas and some serious patience my Savage 45 cal smokeless is complete. The project was suppose to be done for our December 2012 out of state hunt but I really ran into some bad luck and some terrible work. But, with the help of Hillbill, Luke from smokelessmz.com and Corelokt of Truedblued I am very happy with the finished product. Thanks again for all your help fellas Rob

Looks great! what will be your load? I shoot the Parker Ballistic extremes out of mine, and suggest to all my customers as well.

What parts for the Rem do you need? I have a bolt and firing pin somewhere.

The McGowen 45 conversions are nearly plug-n-play with the Parkers. Lots of guys are not sizing or knurling them at all and getting great groups.

a 275grn at 3000 fps? thats 3000, not 2000?!
YIKES!
Quit giving in inch by inch then looking back to lament the mile behind ya and wonder how to preserve those few feet left in front of ya. They'll never stop until they're stopped. That's a fact.

3000fps is possible sabotless in the 45cal SMLs but i would guess most of us are shooting the 275gr BEs much slower. Around 2600fps is more commonly posted on Doug's.
