I think you mean 46 good guys. Something is messed up, the bill passed with 53 votes, but the list has 46 democrats? Are there seven GOP votes missing? The bill PASSED. Those 46 Dem senators voted against the bill which is summarized below. Senate Bill 139 passed 53-46. 46 US Senators voted against this: �To uphold Second Amendment rights and prevent the United States from entering into the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty.�

Unfortunately this Senate vote was on an unbinding resolution to let POTUS know where the Senate stands - good that it was in our favor. It will be voted on again for real, this time for or against ratification, now that the UN has passed their new anti-gun treaty. We can only hope that the vote goes the same way when it really counts - we have to watch SEN Kay Hagan very closely here in NC - she tilts both ways.

Senator Jim Inhofe (R-OK) offered Amendment 139 that was passed with a 53 to 46 vote. His Amendment contained language to affirm that foreign treaties would not trump the U.S. Constitution.
�Mr. President,� Inhofe said on the floor of the Senate, �I want to make sure that everyone understands what the United Nations trade treaty is. The trade treaty is a treaty that cedes our authority to have trade agreements with our allies in terms of trading arms.�
He went on to say, �I want to very briefly read this so nobody over there or over here misunderstands what this amendment does. This is right out of the amendment. Uphold the Second Amendment rights, that is one thing. And secondly, prevent the United States from entering into the United Nations arms trade treaties.�
But many Democrats simply didn�t agree with Inhofe�s insistence that the U.S. Constitution trump the UN. Actually 44 Democrats and 2 Independents. We know how overburdened and over-budget this country is, but the best investment for national dollars must be to buy 46 ropes and put them to good use.
Is it too ambitious or too naive to look for an honest politician? Or simply a useful one?

Every one of them has a "D" behind their name but according to some here, "the Dumocrits aren't after our guns." Exactly right! I was unable to figure out for many years how 2nd ammendment supporters could vote D. I finally figured that out. Don't even want to get into that arguement. Our country as the founding father's envisioned it is lost.

Quick question? The Constitution has provisions for removing office holders who willing subvert the Constitution through their actions or inactions, why aren't they being removed. Also what about the states like CO and CN. why aren't recall petitions being circulated?
