If you decide to split the stocks, I would take one, preferably the old one without the checkering. Is the checkered one old or pretty new? Is it hand carved or stamped?

Both sets of stocks go with rifle. The checked wood is fairly new and I believe it has been hand checked. I could only find 2 Zippers for sale and one was $1500 the other $1800 at GI. I feel this one is fairly priced with included accessories.

IMO your price is very fair. I seen one of these NIB at Wanamacher Arms show in Tulsa sell for $2350.

. Hunter 718: .In 1969/70, a chap who joined us for a few days of deer hunting, had one for sale & wanted $65. w/several bxs of shells. Boy, I thought that was to-o-o high & told him so. . . Following weekend dropped it to $60. w/shells. I still passed . . I think end of deer season asking $50. I passed again. 2 weeks later a friend who hunted with us said he sold it for $40. I guess if you hold out & not buy, it'll go to someone else. . . It surely did!
