A few months back someone posted a recipe for doing pork shoulder in the oven using Dr. Pepper. I believe it was Steelhead but I could be wrong. Anyhow I tried it and liked it and want to do it again but I never saved the directions and now I can't seem to find it. Can anybody help me out?

I tried it in a crock pot and it was nasty! Fed it to the pups. They seemed to think it was OK, though.

I liked it in the oven, don't think the crock pot would have changed it though. The peppers did spice it up quite a lot.

On the smoker injected with Dr. Pepper and rubbed with Dizzy Dust from Dizzy Pig spices. Good eats.

what kind of gasket is that around your egg? I've got to replace mine soon. Thanks

It's a Rutland stove gasket held on with Permatex Ultra Copper sealant. Because of the thickness you only need a gasket on the bottom. These things are rated at 1200-1500 degrees so you will likely never burn one up on the egg.
