Don't know if you guys have Metro grocery stores. They're union. Problem is the majority of them are better off non-union because a) who gives a [bleep] if grocery workers strike, b) those unions don't give a [bleep] about their members and don't do anything for them besides collect their money.

Never had much use for unions unless the company the workers work for, treat them like crap... which too many corporate big whigs have no problem or guilt doing...

however the unions getting too big for their britches is the same thing, just on the opposite side of the fence...

and for the complainers that are unionistas to follow...

I am a union member of two unions with life time memberships...
Teamster and the UAW.... so yeah, in my college days, I worked in Union Shops while earning my undergrad degree.. and a couple of times afterwards when the economy was crap...

so I have been there and done that also...

sadly I believe there is a lot of beneficial middle ground in between the two extreme sides...

Back in the late 70s, early 80s, I was in such a union (UFCW) as a meatcutter. The kids that worked the front end were in the same union.

The union that BC forestry workers belonged to in my working days, that is the outside workers and most sawmill and planer mill workers, was "The International Woodworkers of America", whose longtime president was the legendary "Union Jack" Munro, who grew up in "The Depression" in Alberta and got his start in my hometown of Nelson, BC.

Jack, was a big man, at least 6'4", 250+ lbs, and built like a Kenworth. He hated "environmentalists", "bosses" and even most other union leaders, BUT, he fought and worked for his members and most BC people, that is real BCers, like me, not f**king immigrants from Asia, etc, actually respected him and still do, he is in his late 80s, now and is still a force in BC politics.

I first met and drank with him 45 years ago and while I had my battles with "union bosses" over wilderness preservation and had my brawls with a few of them, we generally ended friends and respected and liked each other.

I know very well what good unions have done and I just wish that the leaders of today were men of the integrity of those of past decades....and, we STILL NEED unions against the evil of "corporatism" and it's ally "fascism".

Our locals BA doesnt do much of a good [bleep] for us, doesnt fight for any work, and basically hands a lot of our work over to other trades. He has his little merry band of bag lickers that he brings along to all expense paid conventions, and gives all the good paying and local jobs to. This doesnt much bother me, I'm in it for the ticket, and the perks along the way. I can/do make a name for myself and dont have to worry about him "getting me work" as I do that myself.

In a few years I'll rethink where I want to be and go from there. Like others have said Unions can be a very good thing if the big shots hearts in it...but most are there for the steady large scale income and treats and could care less about the ones below them.

Gee',

Your version of the "Outdoors" is a [bleep] riot! I still cain't tell if you are bitching or bragging and it's a [bleep] hoot,that you pay to do it! Do you and Oprah ever race Golf Carts,enroute to the Petting Zoo?!?

I've never seen me a Beeg Melon,so all this stuff is new to me. The Milford just don't grow 'em,so I cain't mow 'em.

Due to the sevelte nature of The Milford Bear Herd,I measure just a touch differently,for you Dumbphucks to try and cypher subtension from.

[Linked Image]

Ohhhhhhh I'm more than a whole bunched steeped in Engleesh and enjoy a right proper Poem myself. I'll grantcha' a taste.

"Roses is Red"
"Violets is Blue"
"I [bleep] your Mother in her azz"

"and she...had you".

Bless your heart.

Laffin'!

kute',

I liken the "mistake",akin to poor dumb [bleep] Savage99 talking out her azz,about CRF and hangin' a pic which only corroborated her [bleep] [bleep] incredible Dumbphucktitude. You's in wayyyyyyyyyy over your head,though I find it more than a touch hilarious,that you are dumb enough to even try. Here's hoping you are [bleep] dumb enough,to try yet again.

Now of course,Dendrology 101 denotes that Spruce is always gonna have the thinner bark and Cedar the thicker,in AO's where the two Species coexist. That is THE most simplistic of facts and anyphuckingbody who could fumble that ball after "20yrs+" of "experience",is most assuredly in a [bleep] Union. Laffin'! Jesus [bleep] Christ,Helen Keller could tell the difference via Egyptian Pictograph,from 100yds away.

BC's "best"...couldn't get enough [bleep] wood in a day's time,to keep a cookstove burning hot enough,to make coffee.

I'll happily fuel your Imagination,so you can practice your Pretend.

[Linked Image]

You "hard chargers" are a [bleep] hoot!

Wow +P+.

Shefire,

Enjoyed your Boy Scout Speak. I know you are rallying support to introduce even more of your ilk into the fold and I personally think you'd do all a greater service,to simply stay in the closet.

Bless your heart.

Laffin'!

WSM,

Just how dumb of a worthless dumb [bleep] do you have to be,to be incapable of talking for yourself?!!? I've zero doubt,that Dumbphucktitude is a Family Tradition as per your tree. Congratulations?!!?

You REALLY shoulda had someone from your beloved Union,Post for you here.

Laffin'!

(Addendum for'wa)

Boolits matter farrrrrrrrrr more than headstamps,but the platform can only be as good as it's weakest link. The 257 Bob is a POS Goat [bleep] and simply put,there is nothing mechanically redeeming in it's design. It is a very poor blend of cartridge case length,to case capacity ratio and is a series of heavy concessions,due them simplist facts.

Cheer up,I've shot the Bob and Better Bob more than a whole [bleep] bunch and a "lowly" OEM Vanilla SAAMI 243Win twisted 9",will slap the dogschit outta the Bob,from within more trite mag confines,while launching superior BC's at better speeds. In fairness,I've one spout which started Bob,went Better Bob and was finally punched 25-284...and the 25-284 is certainly the cream of the S/A crop. Why? It is of greater capacity and shorter length,while flaunting some inherent Mojo(284Win parent) which do reliably arrange bugholes.

'Course I shoot a coupla 6-284's too and rest the [bleep] assured,that the Bob,Better Bob,25-284,25-06 or 25-06AI cain't hang...if only because I shoot 'em all. You'll haveta pardon my being afforded the luxury,of not being forced to guess.

Hint.

Go with the 257 Bob, since it is based on the greatest case ever! I started out with a 243 and if I did my part, deer died. We all love to argue over rifle gack, but extremes excepted, it's more about the indian than the arrow!

Memorial Day Ceremony at Seafire Jr's school, back in 2008. Seafire Jr is part of the Flag Ceremony, being the first Scout in line. This not only was in honor of Memorial Day, but it was also a retirement ceremony for the school principal, a Marine Vietnam Vet....

I managed to take these with my 'cheap little camera', from the 'comfort of my couch', while sitting in 'my closet' that I am 'afraid to come out of'..... whistle

see the other forum members are right, I don't spend as much time as some of them do, out chasing game, making stumps, cleaning my rifle in the stream while cleaning fish I shot...
etc etc etc.....

Ah, a man of verve and verse.

How bout a lil more Service, with a smile?

How often do I wish I were
What people call a character;
A ripe and cherubic old chappie
Who lives to make his fellows happy;
With in his eyes a merry twinkle,
And round his lips a laughing wrinkle;
Who radiating hope and cheer
Grows kindlier with every year.
For this ideal let me strive,
And keep the lad in me alive;
Nor argument nor anger know,
But my own way serenly go;
The woes of men to understand,
Yet walk with humour hand in hand;
To love each day and wonder why
Folks are not so jocund as I.

So be you simple, decent, kind,
With gentle heart and quiet mind;
And if to righteous anger stung,
Restrain your temper and your toungue.
Let thought for others be your guide,
And patience triumph over pride . . .
With charity for those who err,
Live life so folks may say you were--
God bless your heart!--A Character.

Many think stick is a pretty fine fisherman. I also think he is a fair hand with a Duck or Goose call and Always gives them a spot to land into. wink

Well TexASS Naive...

for some reason, I did bring you to mind...

I thought it was about 5th grade humor level...

But it was applicable to you and Schtick's Homo Fantasies...

How else can you describe some guys infatuations with putting Penises into other men...

But you pair of mental midgets enjoy your fantasies...

It keeps you two YoYos in the Outhouse Playing the Karate Kid... so you don't hurt yourselves...

farts are sort of like that also...

of course I can think of one guy in AK, that when he farts, it actually becomes the smartest thing he said all day..
