Looking for recommendations on which Trijicon scope to put on my Ruger .375 Alaskan. Plan on mounting it in Talley QD rings. Was leaning towards the 1.25-4, but noticed Trijicon no longer manufactures them. Also, do not want to have to use any type of offset scope rings if possible. Magnification? Post vs. crosshair?
Appreciate the suggestions!

I believe it's too short without extended bases etc....at least wouldn't fit on my Talkeetna 375.

I put one of these scopes on my Ruger Alaskan but is is a close fit and no room for moving the scope. I have the post in mine and like it. Mine is in the Ruger rings.

I shoot the 1.25-4x on a NULA M209 muzzleloader with a German #4 reticle. Great piece of glass with solid internals. Mounting length may be critical as it would not fit the custom slug gun I bought it for.

I have a 1.25-4 on a Mauser .416 Taylor. I also put a 3-9x40 on a Ruger Hawkeye in 9.3x62. Both are the lighted triangle on the post.

Both scopes seem very good on the range, however I have not hunted with either one....yet.

I'm interested in this question too, the Trijicons on a .375.

I thought they were good-to-go, but have seen several posts from tacti-cool guys having failures with them. IIRC, they were on AR15 carbines (.223). They acted like it was a common problem. Not sure what to make of this since I remember those guys being unbiased, matter of fact, no BS types.

How many rounds have you guys fired with your Trijicons mounted?

I have a 3-9x40 with a red triangle on my .375 H&H interarms bolt action. Fired about 100 rds or so before I went to Africa and about 10 over there and a few since I got back. No problems and I think it is a very good match for that rifle and a good match for your rifle as well.

IMO the post triangle reticle is the best of big/dangerous game reticles out there. I've used it right against dark with a dark moose. Yet it is uncluttered for moving targets.

I put 50 375 rounds through mine with no problem.

They are heavy!

They make (or made) two. One was for AR's (short eye relief) you obviously do not want that one.

I want to put one of these on our bedstand 223 semiauto. Anyone here have an extra for sale or trade? Know where they are sold for less than a mint in cost/price?

.............Back in `08, I almost bought a 1.25x4 Trijicon (w/1" tube) for my new 375 Ruger Alaskan.

The main problem was that its mounting tube length left very little to no room to spare for any scope movement forwards or backwards. Along with a preference for having nothing over the action with the exception of the scope, offsetting rings imo are ugly looking.

Also, the eye relief although doable isn`t the greatest on the Trijicons. On the SWFA site, the 3-9x40 Accupoint shows an eye relief listing of 3.2" to 3.6"....Not exactly the best eye relief when firing a 375 Ruger.

If you need to have the Trijicon where you don`t mind having a considerably larger scope than the 1.25x4 Trijicon on your Alaskan and won`t mind the shorter eye relief, then go with the 3-9x40 Accupoint with the reticle of your liking.
