'smoker,

Just hit the house and think the 80-ish degree temp swing, won't pizz me off too much. Had [bleep] mechanical delays today on the bird for the last hop, which cost me some casts and spent primers this afternoon. Oh well, schit happens and better to suffer woe on the deck...than in the clouds.(grin)

Time to charge still/videocamera batteries, stoke the crummy full of Riggin' and peel out in the early AM.

Early April can be rather sumptin',here along The Milford.

'inrok,

[bleep] Pooches like to crowd crummies too...yet noone knows why.

[Linked Image]

Odd.

WSM,

You've gone wayyyyyy outta your way to procure stupid schit and make easy things difficult...but it is funnier than [bleep]! You Union Shooters is a [bleep] hoot!

It'd be funny to see the look on your face, after you shot your first good rifle, flingin' good boolits.

You'd be deletin' alotta schit and then some.

Laffin'!

'tue,

Hate 308's myself.

The latest cracks me up more than most, despite 308's ALWAYS bein' funny.

I'll toss it in the crummy tonight, for tomorrows giggles.

I'm still hearin' good things about the 243Win.(grin)

Gee',

Gots me a hunch I've 308's in a coupla colors too.

This one is funnier than most, for a coupla few reasons.

You "hard chargers",sure is "tough" on Riggin'.

Laffin'!

The one from the first pic, just became 2 inches shorter. The no 3 Bartlein had it always wanting to fall forward on its face. The operation improved its balance more than a little. I was worried that perhaps it had lost its mojo, but it seems to be recuperating rather quickly. It even seems to bark a little louder.

I may have to start calling it stubby when I want it to come out and play.

B/BS/L,

As always, enjoy the pix. My compliments.

I'm typically a blue steel and wood guy, but from time time I get a wild hare......

[Linked Image]

I happened upon this Remington 700 Kevlar Synthetic. It started life as a 375 H&H and the original owner decided he'd rather have a 300 H & H. So he sent it to Hill Country Rifle to have it rebarreled in 300 H & H and accurized.

I'd long thought about a 300 H & H, and in all these years never took the opportunity to acquire one..........

Well on a slow day, I thought I might enjoy fiddle-farting around.
Sooooo,

I decided to do a rattlecan finish on the KS. Used some Krylon ultra flat tan camo for the base coat, and some black and gold webbing spray for accent.

Yep, Texas is a target rich environment. Mostly because yall keep the coon asses out pretty well smile (J/K almost coon ass myself)

I love going out there and shooting stuff, mostly because yall practice my favorite forms of venison procurement, bait and shoot, and drive and shoot. In my book, drive and shoot beats the hell out of spot and stalk. smile I have already killed enough stuff hunting, that I am now satisfied just shooting any old meat bag that walks by.

I wish that I had taken it easy back when my buddies who own ranches wanted their deer numbers down. I could have stretched that deal out for several years. But no I did not have the sense to do that and went after them full bore, and that was back when I could still get around without a golf cart or truck. They say that if they take it easy on the deer and buy a few more from the neighbors that will soon have a huntable population depending of fawn mortality. wink

You've prolly heard the question,
What's the difference between a Coon Ass and a Horse's
Ass. Answer, the Sabine River.LOL

reminds me of a story about Bubba and Beaudreaux.

Seems they were sitting on the front porch of Bubba's trailer next to da bayou.

Bubba asks Beaudreaux, Say Beaudreaux, if'n you was to go fishin' on de bayou tomorrow, an' I was to sneak over to yo' house and make sweet luv to yo' wife, an she was to get pregnant, would that make us kinfolks.

Beaudreaux looks a Bubba with a twinkle in his eye, and replies,
No, Bubba, dat' would jus' make us even.

Gee',

Your "best" is funnier than [bleep],even for a sorry [bleep] Texan! That is some hilariously funny schit and nice job to include the fences. Laffin'!

Really must be sumptin',to have a whopping 50,000 acres to Golf Cart around on. Hell....that's about 1000x the area of The Milford. Laffin'.

The KS schit is hilarious too. Not much funnier than a 300 H&H,in any wrapper. Allow me to fuel your Imagination, while I stay the crux,on all fronts.

[Linked Image]

Wow +P.

Sammo,

I never was one to linger and have seen me chop lotsa stuff off,at the stump.(grin)

Eddy,

I keep hoping these dumbphuckers try Boolistics again...if only because it ain't ever not funnier than [bleep] for 'em to try.(grin)

The "lowly" Vanilla SAAMI 243Win has always been knowed as "Giant Killer" by me,mainly because it [bleep] is. Too many is in a hurry,to poke the cart in front of their pony,as this Thread so eloquently quantifies.

Bless their hearts.

WSM,

You was REALLY doin' good there for a spell.

Laffin'!

SLM,

I cain't know how you do it,but I cain't get a handle on blurtitude. D'yer Mak'er with Amp at "11" ala SpinalTap,with The Blue Bitch chooglin' with Light Speed fully [bleep] engaged this morning.

[Linked Image]

Disheartening to be sure, but I'll keep tryin' and yessssss...I'm takin' notes and TRYIN' to apply same.

Just ain't got the knack.

Archie,

Slow day, never caught a Trout on The Milford, much over 37-inches. I reckon it'll gimme reason to try again tomorrow.

The Milford Lettuce is bloomin' nicely, despite the current heat [bleep] wave.

[Linked Image]

Likely my favoritest color of knotted goodness. Mainly because it looks "cool",but feesh cain't warm up to it....but rolled it anyhow dis morning.

[Linked Image]
[Linked Image]

Lotsa Flying Feesh in The Milford.
