Hello !!

I just came from the gunshop and i traded my .222 win 70 into a .222 rem 600 mohawk.
The one whitout any plastic rib on the barrel.

I�we searched the net for info about the twist rate whitout any luck!!

I know that the common (older)one in .222 is 14" by one, is this the fact whith the mohawq to?

Grab a one piece cleaning rod.
Place a tight fitting cloth patch on the jag.
Put a piece of tape on the shaft near the handle.
Mark a line on the tape parallel to the shaft.
Stretch a tape measure along the rod. Push.
Measure one rotation.
there is your answer!

The original barrel on my Mohawk 600.222 was 1-14".

The only problem is that here in sweden we have some pain in the ass hard weaponlaws!! So even if i have 5 guns before i have to go to the police and make a request on that one to. Even if its only a switch of weapon!!

And the formal limit is put to 6guns and from nr4 u have to make a written attachment for special needs!!

So i dont have it yet castnblast i about a month or so!!

And thanx JAP i suspect it is of the older ones!! Whitout the plastic rib and 600 the odds is 1-14 i beleve!!
