That was really awesome, thanks for sharing. When I was in High School I was in Air Force ROTC and got to take a trip in a KC-135. We met up and fueled an SR-71 in the air, got to lay in the boom operators bay during the whole operation. You could just about tell the color of the pilot�s eyes. Then when he was done, he backed off and down quite a ways and then firewalled it; that was just beyond bad ass.

Watching a SR-71 do a LOW level pass and then punch it in a straight up ascent is one of the coolest things I've seen....ever! Bob Oh yeah, the LOUD factor is there in spades with the SR-71; feel it in your bone marrow. The next best thing is a B-1 at low level kicking in the afterburners. At air shows, that�s my favorite because again you feel it in your bone marrow. Just something uber cool about that sound�the sound of raw power!!
