H4895 and H4350 for almost everything. My 338 Fed is picky and likes 8208.

I burn more TAC than any other powder, primarily because it works so well in so many varmint rounds, but use H4350 is #1 in use in different rifles.

In 3rd and 4th place are Varget and Ramshot Magnum.

Due to a shortage of my favorite powder for my 338 I was forced to substitute AA3100. Lost some velocity but turned out to be the most accurate loads I ever put together.

H 4350 and H4831 sc in that order are the first two, also like Varget, Big Game. IMR 8208 is doing well so far in my 35 Whelen and might become a favorite.

Like the avatar.

If I'm reading this correctly, its a favorite rifle powder.

RL-15 will easily run well in 17's to 458 caliber with stellar accuracy and decent temp stability.

Of course it could easily be anything "medium" in the IMR line or named equivalents like VARGET, Benchmark or VV135 for picking "one".

Almost any "medium" burn rifle powder will do yeoman work in something the size of a Hornet to 416 Rigby capacity; one can even use them in most of the same cases with reduced loads.

Works for the extremes and covers the middle ground. Ironic most are hard to find right now!
