Hey everyone,
I just got an ADL trigger guard and there is no recess in the guard for the screw.
I need to countersink it. Does anyone know the degree of bevel on the Rem 700 guard screws?
Thanks

Measure it, don't know it offhand but it is not a major problem, check your countersinks, & use the one that works.

I use 90 degrees. On an ADL I often don't use the front guard screw. A little dab of rtv sealant or epoxy can be used if you want and it can still be removed if necessary down the road. Pete

A measured 45* per side.
Can't imagine the benefit of not using the front guard screw but would be interested to hear of one.

Some custom guards are made without the hole for the front screw. I think the thinking is that the action is held in with the two action screws and not influenced by the front guard (center) screw. I usually just glue the guard in place unless it is drilled for a screw. pjs

I see, I was thinking the front action screw and not the middle screw.

I use a standard 82 degree countersink.

It could very well be an included angle of 82*.
I was just using a cheapo protractor.
