Nothin this year. Struck out on all 5 applications, including elk.

There's 2 dates they carve on your tombstone. Everyone knows what they mean. What's more important is time that is known as the little dash inbetween.

I was not successful on any of my applications either. Mine was submitted with an outfitter number which should have improved my odds. Guess not. Next year will do the OTC again in CO.

Zero here, as well. Was really looking forward to a chance to ML hunt in NM this year.

Third-choice deer (in an overhunted area). That's it.

Buddy of mine drew the best bow hunt in the state. Other than that, just about everyone I know bolo'd.
I wonder who's hunting this year if anyone?

Drew 3 for 3: elk (Gila), deer (Grants) and Oryx (stallion range)... don't shoot me... need a partner... the 1st 2 are bow in Sep. This is the 2nd time I've gone 3/3 this year... the other was buying 3 chances in an HOAL charity raffle... I guess I should have bought a lottery ticket.

52 rifle elk, year number 12 no oryx, no antelope, no deer. My son is going on his first elk, so excited for him.
Best bow hunt, which do you think is the best, just curious 16A/D?
Good Shooting!

Some of the best hunts I've been on have been the early youth elk hunts.

Cow elk in 15 and Barbery in the 'other' units
Plan on chasing them some this spring in the year round areas too. My buddy killed one last year on one of the OTC tags.

45 deer for me. No elk this year. Good friend drew Valle Vidal once in a lifetime bull that I will probably tag along on.

I drew elk in 5b and got deer license on my own landowner draw. No luck on antelope.
My g8-g8 uncle was Barney Riggs. Google and read about him. He roamed around the southwest, mainly west Tx and Az and NM territory. History credits him with from 9 - 12 men he killed, not counting Mexicans and Indians. Family lore has it at 18.
