I finally gave up on waiting out this latest round of shortages and placed a backorder with MidSouth. Now, two days later, I'm starting to wonder when my order will be filled. Has anyone else done this. If so, how long has it been or did it take? I'm not in a big rush, I just don't see prices going down and figured I might as well get in the queue.
What would Porter Rockwell do?

They'll likely fill it when they get it in and have filled all orders for the same powder that were made prior to yours.

Can't speak for Midsouth but I ordered 4lbs from Midway on March 4th and nothing yet. Last I heard from them was expect 12-16 weeks on powders and primers.

I ordered from Midway on Jan 22 and it still hasn't shipped. Their 12-16 week lead time seems optimistic.

I feel you guys, I hit pay dirt today! Have never used TAC got some and will be reloading some 223 this weekend. There are 2 places we get powder from that have been keeping up with the regular customers.

I placed a small order of three different powders (two Hogdon, 1 Norma) from Midsouth on Jan 25th and still nothing. It seems they are a bit behind. I think you will have better luck waiting and seeing when powder becomes available through Powder Valley.
Enough already, just shoot it!

That about sums it up. It'll give me a reason to check the front porch when I get home from work...it's a high action life I lead.

I ordered .22 LR and .22 WMR from them on 3/4 and 3/5. Waiting patiently.

I just recieved shipment from Powder Valley. Took about 6 weeks which is right in line with their heads up. They had noted on the day ordered it when the shipments would ship out for orders that day. The challenge is catching it in stock so you can make the order.
