Good Morning All

A general question from over The Pond..... has anyone any ideas on when HS will start shipping their bottom metal and detachable magazines ? I am led to believe that everything is on hold right now pending changes/modifications to production.

I have a build based on a Borden Timberline in 7x57 on hold at present and would prefer a detachable magazine set up. It would be good to know if I should be thinking days/weeks/months to get one or if I should rethink the magazine.

It is destined for a sporting rifle and so I don't want any clunky tacticool magazine setup.

Any news , gratefully received.

Thanks

oh my goodness they are still jacking off with these. 18 mos ago I was wanting to convert my gun to an HS mag setup, I was told they changed to a new style and they would have them for sale in a few months, well that turned into about 9 mos. so I found a used assembly (old style) and paid through the nose for it. man I am glad I quit waiting on HS to actually produce something I just looked and the usual sources still don't have them instock. from what I could see the new style HS setup IMO seems like a step back from the original. the mag isn't anywhere near as flush a fit anymore. I have never had a problem with ratteling. I can't believe they are still having trouble getting these units brought to the market.

my best advice is try to find a used unit for sale. HS has been trying to bring these to market for almost 2 years now.

Goodness they STILL don't have the DBM's.......that's crazy, last I heard(HS Rep)they supposed to had these going over a year ago. I put feelers out on a used one and got it. If at all possible you should do likewise, cause it MAY be awhile Guy.....

Thanks for the feedback, much appreciate it.

I shall rethink my preferences and probably go with something that could be available in Europe or UK. ITAR is a pain!

Unless anyone has any suitable alternatives?

Your options are limited, so you can only be so picky wink

APA BM and 5-round mags...

Or Wyatt's box and call it good.

IF you can get either option, that is.
