I have an old Savage rifle, that I am not exactly sure what it is. My grandfather owned a grocery store wwwwaaaayyyyy back in the day, and took several rifles/shotguns in on trade when someone couldn't afford a bottle of booze, or their food. Most of them, I know what they are etc.

This one is an old Savage with no model number, all it says is patent dates and 22 long rifle. Patents:
Nov 28 1905, Sep 07 1915, Sep 4 1917, Nov 20 1917.

It is a bolt action, 5 shot removable mag, with a Redfild peep. It has seen better days with pitting etc but I think for the age its in pretty good shape.

Pictures from my phone to follow.

.

IMO you have a Model 19 NRA, 50,000 of which were made from 1919-32.

Is that the concensus?

I looked them up on Gunbroker, and they look a lot alike, although the ones I saw had different sight systems.

It's an early 1919 NRA, 1919 to ~ 1923 ~; serial number will be under 25,000. The rear sight is not original and you should see holes for the original rear sight on the top rear of the receiver - one if it's really early and two of different sizes if it's a later one. These early versions have a double firing pin that hits the top and bottom of the cartridge. Yours is also missing the middle barrel band that would have held the from sling swivel; it also should have a rear swivel.
