Excellent!! Ain't nothin wrong with fishing instead of school once in awhile (Sunday school in Ruarks case  ). Coincidentally I told my son that between him and I next Tuesday he was staying home for a "home school" day at the range to ring out his new Mod 7. He starts hunters ed in 2 weeks and is pretty excited.

We probably should have capped the day with a range session in the back yard, but he wanted to pull the kayaks out of the basement and give them a wipe-down to ensure they're GTG. Maiden spring voyage after baseball tomorrow. Damn life do suck George

Did he catch anything? Sadly, no (and neither did the old man). We tried a couple other spots on a different river and got skunked. I didn't feel too bad as a couple older gents suffered the same, tragic, end. Funny, none of us were complaining...... George

"I have our rods/tackle boxes in the back of the truck, you still want to go back?" "We need lunch, isn't there a gas station by the river?" I figure he learned geography, math (2 hotdogs for $2.00 is a better deal than $1.29 each), and insect ID. Screw music....
