Is there anyway to do a full mount and mount it to the wall? It really stinks, I've always dreamed of a standing brown bear in my living room and have the "room" for it as well as a open air ceiling with no second floor (goes up 30 feet) so have the head room as well, but not sure my wife is going to agree to it, at least so far she's not (having a bear standing in the living room). However, she's on the fence about putting it on the wall in the living room which is plenty big. I know I could mount the rug there or on the floor, but what about mounting a coastal brown bear directly to the wall? Can that even be done. I'm not even sure what base you'd use, I guess a faux rock perhaps or maybe a log, but I'd imagine it'd be too heavy of a mount for the wall? I've seen some of the work by animal artistry and am impressed with their work. Maybe I can work on the wife some more for a standing mount. I've got a shop I can put it in but it's not climate controlled and no way I'd put a mount in there.

Call the folks at SCI -- they deal with people all over the world who deal with hunters. Full body won't be cheap, but if you have room it have be very nice.

You could get a standing bear mounted on wheels. When your wifes not home roll it inside your house. When she's home, roll it somewhere else, so she doesn't have to look at the disgusting thing.

I'm pretty certain when we sing our anthem and mention the land of the free, the original intent didn't mean cell phones, food stamps and birth control.

With a 30' ceiling, maybe give some thought to a "Superman" pose.

Ain't that the truth. Well, I'm working on it. I contacted a few taxidermists to see if it's possible to mount a full mounted brown bear to a wall. I did oddly enough get permission to put the bear in the bedroom (just not the living room, I guess since it will be hidden in the bedroom)...bedroom is 10 feet tall though in bedroom.

Mine has wheels. With all due respect to Dennis, these guys have probably mounted more big brown bears than anyone else. http://www.animalartistry.com/pb/bears-b.php

I really like Salmonella's bear, that would be the pose I would choose if I could do a full body mount. I've looked around too and investigated the more prominent taxidermists doing brown bear and definitely would probably go with animalartistry.com.

Mine has wheels. Probably a little chainsaw motor to power it as well! Very nice mount of a very nice bear BTW.

The upright full body mounts do dominate a room. One needs near museum space to avoid that issue. Sounds like you have enough ceiling to put one down on all fours and arrange it on an elevated shelf maybe 8 to 9 ft off the floor. If second/3rd floor levels bound that space it could be easily viewed from at least 2 levels.
