I just purchased a Charles Daly field grade Mauser that's trigger was far from perfect. Hard and creepy. I found a diagram of the trigger online and was able to adjust the pull weight.

The trigger still has a bit of creep to it.Will one of the other screws on the trigger adjust that? Or would major surgery be required to fix the creep?

I found some more info...the sear adjustment screw is the top screw behind the trigger. I had to basically adjust that, then the safety adjustment screw and the weight of pull adjustment again.

No more grit, a nice crisp trigger with barely any travel. Sealed with some of my teenage daughter's lavander nail polish and we're good to go.

Did ya do the drop test to be sure you have enough sear engagement left?

Yes Sir!
Naturally I adjusted the sear engagement until the rifle fired and then backed off a bit. Then the safety wouldn't engage. I found a sweet spot with the three previously mentioned screws then slammed the bolt home a few times and dropped the butt stock a few times. It doesn't fire.
The safety actually seems to have more forward and back movement now as well and a has a better feel to it.
