Fellow Campfire Members;
Thanks to all who've participated in the visual feast thus far and those who still might. I've enjoyed looking at them all.

Here's a couple of lever guns that we've got.

They are both 1977 vintage and chambered for .30-30. The 94 has been around for years and used to ride under my left leg on when I was looking through the ears of a horse on pleasure rides or chasing cows. Its camped all over BC with us too.

The 336 is a new arrival that just came out of the shop from the modifications I like to do on lever guns that stay around.

Thanks again to all of you who've shared.

Regards,
Dwayne

Joe S;
Absolutely sir, though please understand their only this Canuck's views on how to slick them up a wee bit.

Here's a link to a bit of a thread I've tried to cobble together about what I do.

https://www.24hourcampfire.com/ubbth...difications_to_lever_rifles_#Post7725817

I've had a soft spot in my heart for lever guns ever since my late father came home with a straight grip 99 when I was maybe 6 or 7.

There's been a few come and go over the years, but the 94 has stayed the longest, mainly because as a '77 it's not worth much and then too because I seem to be able to hit stuff with it when I need to.

The jury is still out on the Marlin for me - the 2nd one I've owned - so we'll see how long it stays in the safe. blush

All the best to you sir in the upcoming weekend.

Regards,
Dwayne

Thats awesome!
If your 336's shoot as good as mine do, i think you will have it around for a while.

While not a fence post pic, my favorite 336 30-30 is also a 77.

Its the one on the left. Hangin with its 1894 357 brother.

It started life as a pistol grip and got converted.

OK fellers, here's my favorite '77 Marlin lever:

.30-30 and it shoots cast bullets very well despite the criticism leveled at Micro-Groove barrels.
