I am interested in putting a peep sight on my mid 70 model 94. Thoughts advice models?
Thanks

I've used a Williams FP with great success. Though I did not need to, I did change the front sight to one more of my liking.

The M94 Winchester is just about the most balanced, natural carrying rifle I've had the joy to hunt with.

. I have a vintage steel Lyman on my .30-30 Trapper (new Lyman's are aluminum). FWIW, the entire Williams line is made of aluminum; and the Williams 5D-94 peep is 1/2 the cost of the FP-94 - which IMO is a no-brainer for most leverguns, in which a "set-'n-forget" peep sight is all that's needed. .

I had put a XS ghost ring sight on my 94 Trapper AE. Much better than a buckhorn open sight for these 60 yo eyes. The white line front sight will work at dusk too.

While I have both Williams and Lyman sights on lever guns, the old steel Lymans are much nicer. Was lucky enough to score a vintage Lyman 66 for on my M64 Winchester last year and from a member here.
Think I paid around $32 for my first Williams years ago and it's been on two Marlins since then. Much prefer them over the issue rear sights on most lever guns, although the original Marbles rear sight on my 1920s vintage M94SRC still works well for me.
If three or more people think you're a dimwit, chances are at least one of them is right.

I just rigged a up Model 94 rifle in .32 Winchester Special with a Williams fire sight front and a Lyman aperture rear sight.
I sighted it in last Saturday and the setup works great for old eyes.
Keep your gun-hand ready and your eyes peeled.

I get the old eyes part, as I'm in my late 60s. Decided to spend some time with iron sights again, while I can still use 'em.

If the front post still looks sharp and clear, you are still a candiate for a peep.
I still shoot a peep on my MZ and I'm 77 yrs old??
