Last year I picked up a T/C Encore 50 cal muzzleloader. This past weekend my dad picked up a Encore in 280. After playing with my dads Encore I got to thinking and it is getting me in trouble. What I am thinking is I should thin some more of my collection and buy some more T/C barrels. I am thinking of getting a 20 gauge shotgun bird barrel and slug barrel and then getting a rifle barrel in a suitable deer caliber. This would pretty much leave me with an Encore set-up for everything I hunt. Am I crazy for thinking this or does it make sense? Also, does the Encore make a suitable deer rifle? Just trying to get over the single shot idea.
