I just bought a handi in 204 and I'm looking for a scope. I'm thinking nikon prostaff. Just seeing if anybody has opinions one way or other.

Nikon ProStaff is a decent scope. I think Weavers are better and are in the same price range.

A lot of guys on the GBO forum use the Nikon Prostaff. I think it's because it can be mounted lower and still clear the hammer. You may want to ask the same question over there.

I personally have never used the Nikon and the only Weaver I have is almost an antique. I use Bushnells and Burris medium Zee rings.

I've got 2 Nikon prostaff 2-7x scopes. One is on my CVA scout, and the other was on my little H&R sportster. It's going to my muzzleloader now, because I put a 3-9x on the sportster for squirrel season. In my opinion, they are great scopes for the price!
