Awesome! Sounds like you've had a lot of fun and probably made a lot of friends during those 25 years. Congrats!

Thanks again all.... Here's another feather in the cap I received last year as well. Every IBS sanctioned match in the nation that someone shoots at, they can score points if they win their relay, then can score points again by winning their shoot off against the other relay winners. All points scored are based on the number of competitors you beat, and are tallied and kept on a national basis. I finally reached the gold level, which is 100 points, last year. There are only 10 people to ever reach or exceed that bench mark, and I'm at 8th overall. A lot of time, effort, and money went into that 12" x 15" plaque......

Man, that's the real deal. I hope those who were snickering at your .22-204 project are watching this... Congratulations on a job well done... DF

I hope those who were snickering at your .22-204 project are watching this... In reality, it's for the people that talk down shooting paper or groups, and especially Benchrest. A while back I posted that there were only 3 or 4 people on 24HR that knew squat about BR, and one blowhard came back and said that there were even less that cared. This coming from the very people that are direct beneficiaries of the advancement in every aspect of the shooting products that they take for granted. Fiberglass stocks, barrels, triggers, optics, bullets, brass, etc. all have ties back to competition. People that think you just have to pull the trigger to shoot small groups, don't know their ass from left field. While we are trying to shoot small groups and high scores, for me, it's the competition. I shoot to win, and expect to, every time I sit at the bench. If you don't have that mind set, you should take up knitting.

If more folks paid attention lots of questions would be answered prior to posting and the discussion would gravitate to other important "stuff". Don't shoot BR but do try to read up a little every now and then. Once again, great job.

Once again, great job. Thanks...and how true. I've gotten away from a lot of threads as I don't want to get into a pissin' match. I know what works for me, and has been proven many time over, but some folks are still prone to arguing.

No matter how well you do, you'll always come out smelling like the skunk,,, I'm always reading about the latest in benchrest and LR shooting. It's an ongoing laboratory of precision shooting. I built a 6.5-284 for my Whitetail and Pronghorn rifle, based on that round's target history. Now, I'm reading about the 6.5 and 7 SAUM. Interesting stuff, always. The distractors are just that. Keep up the good work and you'll always have the admiration of those who care about such things. Me, for sure... DF

While there's a lot of good cartridges out there, the 6 Dasher/BRX is thee PPC of Long Range Bench Rest.
33-34 grains of powder pushing 105's at 3075 and great barrel life.
