My 12 foot pod can take 2 + 6 Hp mudbuddy + a few decoys. The one frind that hunts with me is about 225 lbs and we don't have any problems. I did have to make my own motormount. We 'll take a flat bottom( with a mud motor also) and the pod +4 doz decoys, and leave the flat bottom out with the decoys and use the pod to zip back and forth. Its not super fast but will run in 3 inches of water ( Mud bottom) I'm a water fowling fanatic, And try to get out as much as I can. I will hunt moose and such from time to time but live for duck hunting! And as far as being stable I have had 2 people standing up fly fishing. You might fall out but it won't tip over. Any other ? let me know I'll try to help.

The Pods look incredible. A 12 footer with a motor would be just the ticket for a one man show here. I even see they have a chair and a pop up blind for them on the web site. Very cool.

I haven't seen the pop-up blind. But I'm sure you could make one as good or better for half the price. But let me assure you. You don't need no stinking blind! A little grass here and there, and your killing ducks. I do have a camo cover for the Mud Buddy.

yeah I bet a few yards of that camo blind cloth and some cat tails would work pretty well.

stetson you do nto even have to do that. I just got some camo stencils and lightly faded the bark style from black at water into brown then laid down 3 layers of the grass stencil with differnt colors to add a bit of depth. these things do not bother the birds one iota. I made my motormount out of a 2x4x42" piece of white oak and sealed her up really good. fabricated a clamp to it to hold the inside of the gunnels and built a motor plate from marine plywood. yeah they are the real deal very popular on the west coast. definitely worth the money

What kind of motor you got on yours? Also I was wondering how old is your pod. I got mine about 4 or 5 years ago, and then it was rated for somthing like 600 lbs. Now it's like something over 400lbs (12 footer) I'd like to also have an 8 footer. Wow 8 foot pod with a 6 hp mud buddy. Now that would be FUN!

Are theese the same as the ones Cabelas carries? I'm confused if "Pod" is a brand name or just a generic term. Dave

Not cabelas. Try attbar.com. The pod is made to order. It took me about 4 months to get mine. The price has gone up a bit too. When I ordered mine it was around 675.00 for the standerd pakage pod ,paddle. The tow hook was 50.00 camo was around 150.00 the padded seats 50.00times 2 and around 140.00 to get it to seattle from seattle to Alaska FREE Thanks to my big bro. It was all worth it . I don't think it was designed to have a mud mottor on it but it does just fine. Go to adventuremongers.com , then alblums look under the duck hunting ones I think it's the second one down. Anyway there is a few pictures on this sight of mine with the motor in operation.
