Thanks for the tip. I am itching to get out and shoot it, I can't wait any more tips are greatly appreciated. My dad was not a outdoors person even now asks why I need so much ammo or carry a gun. So it's all new to me and hopefully I can teach my boys.

She looks good from here and I'm glad you ditched the see-thrus.
Pick up a bottle of Howard Feed-n-Wax and put it to the wood.

Good luck with your new rifle and your hunting......

Big +1!!!

Talley lightweights and a VX2 3-9x40mm w/ ballistic reticle would be my choice. Put the cash you save into ammo and/or components if you're reloading. You won't miss the extra magnification I guarantee, nor the bulk & length of the more powerful scope.

Sweet score!

Thanks I got vx-1 4-12x40 with the lr duplex. I'm happy with the current scope and am hoping to start reloading soon. Money I save I'm going to buy my son a rifle so I can at least start taking him to shoot targets, I've slowly started teaching him gun safety.

I used that until I heard how it would penetrate and darken scratches.I switched to this.

Thanks for the heads up when I get a Chance I will order some. Last night a friend called and gave me some reloading dies, a bunch of .17-222 ammo and a 115v powered brass trimmer. I have a tumbler I use to clean my straight razors so looks like I'm going to have to hunt down the rest. Now onto lunch.
