My wife was watching the Tony Awards and called me into the den to watch NYC Mayor Bloomberg as he stood with Sigourney Weaver. She was about eight inches taller than he as they stood side by side.
I have met Weaver and she is about 5'8"/5'9" tall. Bloomberg was a good eight inches shorter than she.
No wonder he is such a wannabee tyrant. No matter he has made billions of $$$$$, he obviously suffers from the "little man inferiority complex" and wants to have power over everyone and punish as many people as he can with his dictates.

Based on this photo, if she is 5'10", then 5'6" would look about right for Bloomberg. Not to defend Bloomberg because I don't care for him myself, but based on that photo, we can't see if she is wearing high-heeled shoes of some kind or not. Since it appears to be a formal event, it's pretty likely she is, which could add some inches to her height.

a quick query on line, gives Bloomberg's height as either 5'7", or 5'8". Not a midget, but shorter than the average.
