Thanks for the help.I used the phone number given and his son picked up. after telling him that I was sorry for his loss and bothering him, he proceeded to tell me that over the next couple of weeks they would be getting ahold of everyone with a gun in Malm's shop.

God bless and keep his soul. He was one of the better campfire members, IMHO. I will miss his posts.

Really sorry to hear this, I was always impressed with his willingness to help on here. I'll miss his posts.
I just talked to him last week, checking on the status of a project he has for me, was told he had 2 barrel jobs ahead of me, and he would be getting on mine first of this week.

Didn't know him personally, just on the Fire.

I held him in the highest esteem as a man and as a smith, always enjoyed his input. You could tell, he knew his stuff.

Shocked to hear the news.

Heres his obituary.

" Guy was born in Garfield, Utah and was raised in Magna where he attended Cyprus High School on a part time basis. He might have graduated with his class in 1970, however there was a war raging in Vietnam, and in 1969, on his 17th birthday, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He served with the 1st Air and Naval Gunfire Liaison Company and served overseas with WESPAC ground forces. Besides this, Guy was a husband, father, brother, grandfather, master gunsmith, scuba instructor, rescue diver, drummer, photographer, welder, auto body technician, law enforcement officer, motorcycle mechanic, fly fisherman, expert rifleman and generally a good guy."

God bless you Guy, thanks for your service!

There was many a time Malm and I didn't see eye to eye. He was a tough guy to have an argument with. But always very fair in what he had to say, and over time I had great respect for him.

May he rest in peace, and may perpetual light shine upon him.

I just called Malms shop and talked to his son Bobby. Sounds like they are still sorting through things. Gotta be tough on em. Know it sounds weird, but I had a hard time fighting back tears. I feel for em. Bobby said he is in the military and will be leaving soon, his brother Mike will be staying there and dealing with folks. So Mike will be who you talk to if you have items at the shop.
