Hi! Im new here and have just bought my very first rem 700. Its a very fine BDL from 1981 with great bluing, iron sights and no rust. My problem is that I like the bolt lock! I have to switch the safety to unsafe to open the bolt. Why is this a problem? becouse I dont trust the connector in the housing. So I figure I could replace the connector and parts inside the housing with this:

(I hope its ok to post links here?) I will also add the 3 function ULA safety wich make it possible to open bolt in safe too.

Or should I go with a timney 501 with ula?

I hope I made my self clear, there is not so much information about this in sweden.

Take a good look at the safety lever and you will see how it interacts with a milled slot in the bolt body when in the safe position. It is a simple fix.

Ok thanks for the welcome. I think this seems to be a good forum with alot of knowledge. I've ordered a ULA safety anyway, becouse having that 3 function and be able to handle the bolt while in safe and also being locked in safe (as win 70). I think I will go with the factory trigger but if not the timney 501 works with ula safety.
