I have one and it works well, particularly for anything that requires a fast, hot sear. We use it a lot for steaks, chops, salmon steaks and shrimp . No question about its durability either.
You can fool all the people some of the time and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time.
This little hibachi will never rust ehh David? I cook at least twice a week on it for the two of us and it has a lifetime warranty. Besides that, if the $hit goes down I can pick it up and run with it like a football tucked under my arm! We know how to do that in Nebraska!

Know fat, know flavor. No fat, no flavor.
I tried going vegan, but then realized it was a big missed steak.

Yup! Da' bomb!
And as you have pointed out via your pics it can double as an urn Mike.
meddybemps,How's it work for burgers and chicken ? _________________________
Burgers and steaks work great as do skewers with smaller pieces of chicken or shrimp. Chicken breasts work out ok also. It would not be my go to grill if I were doing a split chicken or even chicken with the skin on, which in my experience you want to cook more slowly. It can be done, but you'll need to pay attention to the grill height and the amount of charcoal you use to prevent scorching. I think Hibachis in general are great for small quantities that need intense heat...and that what I use it for.

Is this little grill large enough to cook a venison steak? I usually cut a deer 'back strap' in two pieces and grill whole. Choosing to slice thin after cooking/resting before serving.
It's hard to beat the convenience of a gas grill for some things but they don't generally sear as well for steak or tuna etc.
I had one of theese for several years. I donated it to another Sportsman in need a few years back. They work well and are surely worth the $$$. If you are worried about rust after you are done with them spray them with cooking oil like Pam or better yet food safe Silicone spray if you have it. They will last a lifetime and are great for the beach etc.
