I bought a Ruana Skinner just like it in 1981 at Coast to Coast Hardware in Cut Bank, Montana for $22. Still have it, though it has been used a little harder than that one. Kind of wondered what they're going for these days....

SOB Brnbear! Nice score. Love those old Ruana's! My Dad used to trade Rudy Ruana a set of elk antlers everytime he killed one for a new knife. Enjoy

IIRC, when Rudy started, he charged a days average pay for the mill worker in Bonner.

One of the reasons my Ruana Skinner isn't for sale is it's what my wife carried for several years when she first started hunting. In 1986 she killed her first mature whitetail buck, and when we got home the knife was missing. Had to go back and eventually lift the gut-pile to find it!
There were some other adventures as well. Hard to sell a knife like that.
