a 12' would be nice though for just the boy and me to take on some of the small reservoirs for trout, we don't have many big lakes out here. the one we fish the most is less than 100 acres in size and its trolling motors only

I'll stand by 14' as the minimum Ryan. Your boy will not be small for long and a 14' will give you a larger safty factor.

Picked one of these up at Cabela's a couple years ago for small lakes and carry down lakes. Works great.

that one would work, but it's about a 10 hour drive for me to pick it up. I'd spend more on gas to get it LOL. seen a few around here but I'm not going to "settle" for close enough. I'm thinking a 14' with trailer and perhaps a trolling motor or 10 hp outboard would be great. not in a huge rush to get one since I just bought a camper, but I know it takes time to find the one I want.

ours is a 14' lund tiller with a 15 hp Johnson, got a nice little trailer for it, we really like it. We're using it today without the gas motor, no gas motors allowed on the little lake we're fishing today so we have the elect tiller mounted on it.

Something clever here.

My 1st two boats were both Alumacrafts. The first one was a 12' car topper called the EZ Loader. The 2nd was a 14' Kingfisher. Both were great boats. My current rig is a 16' foot Smoker Craft.

When are we going fishing anyways? With Ellie out of ball for a while I've got time on my hands. Her grad partie's next weekend. After that I'm a free man.

Soon as we get past her grad party next week I will most likely have some time unless she's released to pitch after her Dr's appt. on Tues.
