Anybody got an opinion on how this would work. I saw this on YouTube and thought that would be easy to build and would take the work out of filling the gun plus not have to buy shoebox compressor or scuba tank.

Very clever!
Looks like it should work very well.
Now he just needs a scuba tank and let it run:)

Not a fix for some one that shoots quite a bit.
Lacking both in out put and durability on the pump end.
The parts used aren't cheap either other than for someone who has such laying around.

if the rpm was low enough that it didnt faster than you could pump it by hand why wouldnt last. its all about how hot it gets from what i understand. there is another one where a dude used pulleys and belts instead of gearbox.

planning on buying a marauder and benji pump....i just might try it if i can find the stuff cheap.

also you could use a lever to make pumping easier. just take a long board hinged on a wall and attach the pump to the floor somehow.

It would depend on the volume of the guns you refill and how quick and often you refill say at a shooting session.
Guns suited to it are easy enough to do by hand and why give up the portability of the hand pump,IMO.
I've burnt out those pumps by hand.
Cool idea but not not worth the effort,IMO,for the capabilities of the end result.

burning up hand pumps comes up alot on the boards but i aint gonna put out that much coin for a tank or shoebox until i think i got to have it. all of my shooting will be here at the ranch anyhow so portable aint that big of a problem.

I will probally have to eat crow later on!
