Well i havent posted here much lately i have been busy studying and gettting ready for national envirothon. I dont know if any of you guys/ladies know about envirothon but its a highschool competition about the environment, the competition includes tests in wildlife, forestry, aquatics, soils and the current issue which this year is invasive species. My team won the Maine State Envirothon, so we get to represent our great state at nationals, i just thought id share this information with everyone here cause you all love the environment, and this competition really helps educate people so we can all conserve the great natural resources for future generations to hunt fish and do whatever other outdoor activitiy. <br>P.S there are going to be 46 states and 4 canadian provinces at nationals, im just a little nervous.

Hey young guy, my official title where I work is Environmental Health Specialist, I use the skills you pointed out as part of your contest. It's a living, and an enjoyable one at that. Now i am not a raving environmentlist. Just a working stiff having fun. In college I was the Token Red Neck, I attended a very liberal college. The Evergreen State College here in WA. ST.
<br>Maine is much like WA. St. in it's EH. health codes which are some of the most strict in the nation. Kalifornia pales when it comes to land use. The Environmental field needs voices of reason so don't let them turn you to the dark side and become a tree hugging bunny lover. It's a good way to make a living, you won't get rich and working for government has it's draw backs, idiots for bosses and the such but the field work makes it worth while.

Well i got back sunday from national envirothon, it was a very hot week in Mass. But i learned alot and i met a lot of new people from all over, that all had the same interests as me. I loved the competition, it was fun taking the tests at the different stations. My team didnt do as well as we had hoped due to the stiff competition, we came in 24th out of 51 teams. Next year i plan on going to nationals again and doing better.And no I didnt turn into a bunny huggin tree lover, im still the biggest redneck, i love my hunting and fishing. No one can ever change that.

Heck you at least came out in the top half, better luck next time.
