Cookie was in the back lot chasing mule deer fawns this AM but they would not cooperate. The local robin nest has fledged though and this guy was on the rail pleading for worms. Still packing a lot of downy plumage.

Good focus and subject matter. I'd like to see the bird more towards the left side of the frame, observing the rule of thirds. That way my eye is led towards the right, following the birds line of sight.
You must have some telephoto lens for that shallow depth of field

Thanks for the comments, and I'll pass the advice along. I'm a little critical of the focus on the eye too. Looks like the nearside wing is nailed, but the eye is just not as sharp as it could be.

I think you could make an adjustment with photoshop to tighten that up a whisker.
I might darken that lower left corner if I was really being a stickler.
