How is this company to deal with?
They seem to have a good inventory.

I've ordered from them a couple times, and things arrive quickly and VERY well packed-----------especially the pellets. They're pretty much the giant of the air gun retailers, and as such are able to offer a huge selection and the best prices. Their "4 for 3" deal on pellets is a great way to buy ammo.
I've also ordered from Straight Shooters. They've got very good prices too, considering they're smaller than Pyramid Air, and the two guys who run the business are good dudes. I feel that they've put forth more than average effort by providing the air gun community with not only a forum but excellent ballistic tables from their extensive airgun testing. That deserves some customer loyalty IMO.

I've recently ordered 2 x from Pyramyd and had excellent service. Staff went "above and beyond" to help me and did it with a very friendly helpful attitude. +1 on their packing of pellets. Best I've seen. Secured in foam block.

I've been dealing with Pyramyd for years now and they have the best deals in pellets hands down. Their inventory is one of the best and so is their customer service. No worries buying from them, they won't screw you over.

Watch for their Specials and Sales.... Get on their mailing list. I think it was St. Patrick's Day they had pellets on sale, free pellets and free shipping if you bought $100 worth of anything...

Thanks for the input. I will give Straight Shooters a look at too. In the future I plan on getting a decent 22 air rifle for hunting rabbits or squirrels.

Another place to check out is Airguns of Arizona. They got great deals on RWS guns. Sometimes cheaper than anywhere else. And Kip and the boys are great to deal with also.

are frequently cheaper than Pyramid Air and in some cases carry a more complete line of guns, such as Weihrauch.

I have mostly been with Pyramid air the last years, they are fast, good selection of stuff, etc. Have also had good luck with Airgun Depot, bought some scopes and pellets from them.
However, the last order of add-ons for my Crosman 2240 with Pyramid was really poor. They said via. E-mail that it shipped, then got a phone call that said the Co2 cartridges I bought were "On back order" even though they showed in stock at the time of purchase, and they wanted to charge me a separate shipping for 5 Gamo brand cartridges. When I called the customer service guy he said nothing had shipped, and everything was on back order, he had an "I'm a low wage CSR guy, why do I care" attitude. I cancelled the whole order and decided to do business elsewhere, I might buy something from Pyramid Air down the road, but time to give my money to someone else. Obviously there is a personnel problem with Pyramid Air. Hoping to buy some pellets with Airgun Depot later this year.

I've had 2 excellent experiences with Pyramyd, but a bad one could change my buying habits in a hurry.

I hope you reported this to managment. I've dealt with Pyramyd for the past 8 years and never had a problem with them. Airgun Depot on the other hand is a totally different story. I could careless if they went out of business.

Good to know on Airgun Depot, I have only purchased a few things on 3 occasions with them. I plan to install a steel breach and different sight on my Crosman 2240 pistol, but the online sources are with companies I have not done business with yet.

Airgun Depot took 3 months to send me a cheap clamp on mount for my Benjamin 392 back in the day. 3 months!!! No emails, no contact, no nothing. When I finally got in touch, the guy sounded like he was on drugs and said, "sorry man". Really? Never more, it's great that you got your stuff promptly. If you're looking for 2240 parts, try these guys, they make top notch parts. Some of the links might be dead as some of them are out of the business. I've bought parts from some of them and are top notch parts. http://airgunartisans.com/For breeches, Don Cothran makes top notch parts, I've bought a few things from him as did many Crosman owners.
