Anyone have an opinion on when powder will start being more available again? Having no luck finding IMR 4895, 4064 or RL15.

In my opinion it will be when all horaders storage bunkers and credit cards are maxed out. Should be by October, just not sure of the year.

I am already seeing some improvements. However, anything that works in .308 seems to be REALLY scarce ... i.e., the powders you mentioned plus Vargit. I wouldn't be surprised if these are still scarce this fall.

During the last Obama Panic, things started to ease up by the summer after the election, but I've been told by several manufacturers that this panic is much worse.

It's bad up here too. There is virtually nothing on the local shelves.

Over a month ago I got the RL-15 I've been needing for months and last Sat. picked up a pound of IMR-3031 that's been eluding me for months also. A couple months back I got a pound of Leverevolution with the intent of trying some new 30-30 loads with it because of the lack of IMR-3031 but at least now I can load up some of my 3031 loads and experiment with some Leverevolution at my leisure.

Was at four different stores taday, we seem to have a fair supply of powder but very few primers if any. Could have bought Reloader 15, 17, 19, 22, 25, h-4350, h-4831, imr- 4064, imr-4895 and several others. Needed a couple hundred CCI-250s till things settle down but could'nt find any. Oh well at least some things are starting to show up.

Is it really a hoarding issue or have the manufacturers forsaken us to switch production over to satisfy the HUGE federal orders for ammo? Obama's executive order requiring shredding of all spent ammo at every gov't. Firing range should give us a big clue! Gun control by proxy!!

Have to agree. I haven't waited this long for powder or primers as long as I can remember.

It's looking better here locally. 2 different stores I frequent had powder on the shelves. One of them being walmart, had 10 pounds (each) of varget, H4831, h4350, H1000, h380, and BLC2. They also got a shipment of cci 250's in. The shipment came in the middle of last week and by saturday, all was gone except for 7 pounds of H1000 and 2 bricks of CCI 250's. Could be worse..

Things are easing somewhat in my neck of the woods. Not back to normal, for sure, but there was plenty of varget on the shelf today.

No Varget around here yet. Plenty of other stuff. I get the shakes when I drop below 8lbs of Varget...not there yet, but I'm getting close.

Picked up that pound of Unique that I've been wanting this past Saturday (6/29). Still waiting on the IMR-4320 and sometime this summer I'll probably run out of IMR-4064. The primer situation is improving around here although I'm all set on those for quite a while yet.

Supply does seem tighter. Some of the out of the way branches of big chains were still getting stock last time, not this time.

We only have one store in town that carries reloading supplies, guns, or ammo. Since Christmas they've had 4 pounds (2 of H380, 2 of Varget) come in ... total. All they have on the shelf is a little bit of Pyrodex.

If you're patient, there is stock coming into the online places.

In the balance, right now, I can locate enough for hunting with the couple rifles I've got. I can't get enough / enough variety on demand to warrant buying new guns that are going to take load development.
