as above, need to buy a couple extra sets of silk and probably smartwool. IE Merino. Smartwool has seemed best to us so far....
Best sources price wise currently?
Thanks, Jeff

Sierra Trading Post for Smart wool. They can be hit or miss for what they have in stock, but I've bought plenty from them

I really have liked the feel of the merino by Minus 33. Plus I have found it to be cheaper than some of the more well known brands. http://www.minus33.com/

Sierra Trading Post for Smart wool. They can be hit or miss for what they have in stock, but I've bought plenty from them I like them as well. Usually really good prices and have had great service when needed. They also support some good hunting organizations..

I found some good prices last year on Smartwool at Campmor. Haven't checked any prices this year.

I have Smartwool and a bunch of other stuff from STP. If you have never ordered from them before, try signing up for their "Deal Flyer" email sales offers before placing an order.
A few times each week, I get an email from STP that usually offers an additional 25% to 35% off the normal price shown on their website. It doesn't include everything on their site, but it often includes base layers.

I prefer smartwool and icebreaker to minus33 and ibex
I have a kuiu piece and didn't buy the Sitka piece ad it felt pretty itchy.
I buy from Altrec, Sierra Trading Post or any other similar type of supplier
Get the boxers!! You won't wear any other after you get a few pair.

moontrail.com for Smartwool. I haven't been able to find a better price. They also do quantity discounts.

REI has it. I was looking at it in a store in MSP yesterday. Breathtakingly expensive though. I don't know what a "good" price might be, but it ain't cheap.

Kind of pricey, but well worth it IMO, Filson. They have different weights and styles.

Keep a watch on "Camofire" for merino deals and other items..
I go to local Goodwill stores and buy merino wool pull over sweaters and have found a few silk pull overs. I realized one day I had too many, but for the price.. I have also found some great fleece vests that are great to wear over one or two merino sweaters.
You won't find any merino bottoms at Goodwill, so I sprang for a pair of Icebreakers.
There are no bad days hunting elk, some are just better.

7 Not to be dumb, but what makes them so great. I have a honey of a time keeping my feet warm and will do anything to aid that problem.

I have a honey of a time keeping my feet warm and will do anything to aid that problem. Exercise, improve that circulatory system. 90 minutes of cardio (3 times a week) keeping your heart rate between 120 to 140 beats will help improve how much blood your heart pushes around per pump. Buy a heart rate monitor, and if you're extremely out of shape, start with 30 minutes for 2 weeks, then work your way up by 10 minute intervals. You can switch it up if you like, 30 minutes of jogging, 30 minutes of bicycling, 30 minutes of rowing. Boxing, chopping wood, hauling heavy stuff at an incline, whatever.

Re: silk Just be careful what you click on when googling "men's silk pant bottoms". Suffered pop-up ads featuring prancing male ballerinas for months last winter.
