Just thought I would get us up to date and then maybe everybody can drop in their favorite Maverick quote as there have been some doozies. This guy is an expert on EVERYTHING except women. Tipmover found a dating profile on a "Russian Brides" site and when asked about it ole Mav denied it being his. Nope, wrong guy. Sorry 'bout that. I cant blame him for denying it but you know me, I can't just leave well enough alone and I did a little Google-Fu and this is what I've come up with... The thing that gets me is that in a recent thread over on the elk forum this azzhat was trying to talk down to others and tried to tell Logcutter that he went into the Frank Church wilderness area in 1958.... I would say -- based on personal experience that goes all the way back to 1958 -- that what's probably "good" for you (personally) is the Frank Church. Enjoy, because there's nothing like it in the United States. He then tried to tell folks that his first trip into the Selway was in 1959...
I went on my first Selway/Bitteroot packtrip for elk in 1959. Believe me, it's quite different now. I feel your anxiety. Nevertheless I appreciate and admire wolves and grizzly bears.
The question I have is how was the view from your dads nut sack Mav? Your dating profiles say you were born in 1961 so you are either remembering your days in your dads balls or you are referring to a previous life or your just a pathological [bleep] liar. I'm calling you a liar. The emails referenced from your profile and the info were were able to obtain using that pretty much tells everybody who you are so calling you a liar isn't really a stretch. Combine that with the fact that there are folks here that have met you and confirmed it was you You and StripBuckHunter should get together and hang out, something tells me you boys would get along pretty good.

How is this for CLASSIC! ...But, regardless of the caliber your choose, just follow Hardy's advice and keep shooting till he tells you to stop. He would rather you kill your own bear than him having to follow up in the event you happen to think the bear is down or dead and not going to get away. Good luck on your hunt and have fun!!!! He's one of the most knowledgeable guides in Arizona... of course when I cornered him on whether he has or ever had a guide license here he clamed up.
His expert advice was almost as informative as what anyone could google.

He does seem to be an interesting fellow. In that recent mule deer thread where the picture of the Oregon state record was posted, he mentions the Maupin unit which is like 99% private but does have some nice deer. Then he mentions Owyhee County????? Now we have a Owyhee unit but no county, and that unit is like 150-200 miles east of Maupin:) Much of what he said didn't make any sense to me since the area he was trying to describe is basically my stomping grounds when it comes to chasing muleys.
Anyway, maybe I should give this Owyhee County a try - when I find it:)
