Twelve years ago today, I got this belly tube that frees me from being fed intravenously for the rest of my life. Woulda had it a day sooner, but the OR crew had something else, somewhat more important, on their minds that day.
Five days ago was another anniversary that I plumb overlooked � the twelfth since the wee clot in my medulla made me no longer the man who I never was to begin with.
