Zimmerman was acting in concert with the police in doing so, and with their approval. He was asked to let them know if the suspect does anything else suspicious while the police were on their way, so he attempted to keep him within sight. He had a right to be armed while doing this. Trayvon was the one who thought his hatred towards "creepy-ass crackers" gave him the right to lay in wait in the shadows for Zimmerman, land a hay maker, jump on top of him and attempt to beat his brains onto the sidewalk. Trayvon was the only one acting with ill will, and got what he had coming.

Sorry, but I have to strongly disagree. They won. A trial was held when none was required and an innocent man was forced to prove his innocence and denied any presumption of innocence. The justice system was proven tied to political agenda, and has given black racism a more entrenched entitlement attitude than before.
The ONLY reason this situation had any positive outcome is due to 6 women, who understood both the law and the truth. And that is something that is very, very rare in our present culture.
