not sure, but I see it's on photobucket, if you scroll over the image you'll see the bottom option (forget what it says) but click on that and it will say "copy or copied"
then right click on your post and hit paste. Then hit preview before submitting to see if your pic shows up. That's how it's worked for me in the past.
it's a group worth lookin at if your title is accurate!

Not only great shooting, but it also says a lot about your load!
How about some details?

Wow! Great shooting! But what's hard for me to understand is that you guys have a "season" on marmots down there. They're considered varmints here and can be shot anytime. In Wyoming you don't even need a NR license to shoot them. Interesting.

I met a French guy the other day. I asked him "Do you speak German?" He said "No." I said "You're welcome!"

yep worth seeing
believe you've got your components assembled correctly
rifle seems very good
load seems very good
and the nut behind the trigger appears pretty smooth as well
that's a helluva group at that distance.
there's a lot of guys that would be happy with that group if the 1 wasn't in front of the 356!!!
nice job man, nice job indeed. that had to have felt good.

That was my first thought. ES/SD must be near zero. The tiny bit of lateral dispersion was mostly air currents, most likely. I love it when a plan comes together, even if it ain't mine.

Thanks guys. The rifle was built by Quarter Minute Magnums. BAT HR action; Jewell 20 oz. trigger; Kreiger #19 Hunter contour barrel 28" fluted, chambered for 7 mag, throated for 180 gr Berger VLD bullets with a .307 neck diameter. Stock is a Greybull with the metal bedding block milled down to allow glass bedding. Scope mounts are Badger Max 50, and scope is a Schmidt Bender PMII 4-16 from Darrell Holland with his ART reticle. Brass is neck turned RWS, Fed. 215 primers, 64.3 gr H4831SC, 180 gr Berger hunting VLD's. Velocity is 2990 fps. Dies are Redding type S with a competition seater. Last time I measured run-out it was running .001. NOTE: this powder charge is above the published max in my Hodgden manual.
I use a G7 BR2 rangefinder. The windage calculation at that distance calls for 2.5 MOA of drift with a full value 5 mph cross wind. That amounts to .5 moa, or 7", for 1 mph. It's beyond me to recognize a .1 mph cross wind change that results in a .7" bullet drift. Even though the group was pretty small, it was about .75 MOA left of POA. It's going to take a very calm or at least steady light breeze to make my 3/4 mile shot next month. I'll pray for a little luck too.

This summer, I've just recently started shooting over 1000 up in the canyon/mountains behind my house with my little 6.5x47 and either the 130 VLD or 140 Hybrid. Rocks are the target; not rock chucks; not high enough in altitude or correct terrain to support any. A friend did scare the bejesus out of a ground squirrel yesterday am. Using our NP-R1 reticles at 22x and our distance calculator on my Shooter program, we're estimating our targets anywhere from 10" to 18" tall. Lots of hits at 1089, 1341 and 1482 yds. Plenty 1st round hits with my Gunwerks G7 BR2 range finder. Made my 1st mile+ (1784 yds) hits yesterday. Took a few spotters to dial in. Wind picked up about 1 mph.
Before we left yesterday am, I did pull out my little Pierce actioned 6.5x47 loaded with the Barnes 127 gr LRX and made a 1st rd hit on the 18" rock @ 1089. Wish the bullet was rated to work out that far but it's hitting at 1379 fps by the time it gets there and Barnes says it needs 1600 fps to open reliably. I'd like to use it again for elk this October but at 30 def F (estimated temps in early Oct), the impact speed would drop to 1303 fps. About 820 yds is the max I could depend on that bullet to expand. I plan or playing with the new Nosler 129 gr LR Accubond here in a few weeks when I can get my mitts on some. It's published opening velocity is 1300 fps. Then I should be able to make that 1089 yds shot and then a bit more since the LR AB's G1 BC is .561 vs the LRX's .468. Though with what I'm reading the Nosler's BC is probably a bit inflated; we'll see.
It takes a great rifle, load and shooter to shoot that group Cobrad. Congrats.
Alan
