The present made-in-USA Mark V's also VERY accurate in my experience. I've owned several over the past few years and all have shot great. Absolutely. I have three USA Weatherbys, the latest a 340 Lazermark (four shots 210 TTSXs):
A good principle to guide me through life: “This is all I have come to expect, standard lackluster performance. Trust nothing, believe no one and realize it will only get worse…”

When I lived in Japan, I had a 20mm gattling gun and nobody said anything about it. Tail number 325.

Who makes MkV's these days now that Saco Defense is out of the business?
I have 3 Saco's all are wonderful ... my 300WBY isn't wild about factory 180 SP's but does wonderfully with other loads.

I have had several Weatherbys over the years from Southgate built Mausers. to German, and Japan , but no later USA builds. They all shot well except for one .257 that I just never found the sweet combination. Not all that bad, just not as expected.

This is a very little known thing about Weatherby Seriously? Only to the OP, clearly.
If you're fixin' to put a hole in something, make it a hole to remember.

Our God reigns. Harrumph!!! I often use quick reply. My posts are not directed toward any specific person unless I mention them by name.
