Sir,

Normally, it is.
However, my darlin bride of 35 years being a woman of substance (warmth in the winter and shade in the summer) and of uncommon knowledge of how to pry this old farts [bleep] off the khouch, made two points and then asked a question.
The point. If the house wasnt painted by next Monday, the HOA was prolly going to file suit. If they did that would prolly cost us money to resolve the issue.
She also made the point that I am the cheapest help I got, seeing a how I dont have to pay me.
She then asked, in my present condition what did I desire most? Well I had to think about that for about 30 seconds, as I had gotten lucky earlier this morning.
So I sez, to her, darlin bride I think that I sure would like to own a Luxus Model 11 Custom FQ, knowin that I was safe.

Well dang my hide, if she didnt call my bluff.

So If yall dont hear from me for a while, its cause this mangy critter is paintin.

What a feller wont stoop to when it comes to rifles.

Slightly off topic, but since we have a big group of self professed heroes on this thread, here's an opportunity to prove it...

Forum member Iron Eagle_84 is having a rifle put together for a disabled veteran. This would be this guy's first rifle, and him actually going hunting for the first time in life.

here's the link:

https://www.24hourcampfire.com/ubbth...951/Re_Veteran_Project_Rifle#Post7944951

So if anyone else wants to put their money where their mouth is, here is the opportunity if you are so inclined...either openly or anonymously.. really doesn't matter..

for the naythsayers, yeah, I have contributed..

but it doesn't matter how much or how little, the main point is assisting a disabled vet for a worthwhile cause....

since we have combined to have this thread going on for 300 + pages, throwing insults, maybe a few of us can put that down for a second and help a vet...

you guys can PM ironeagle_84 if you have a desire to do anything.. his name is Marty...

Thank you....

and now everyone can get back to their regularly scheduled 'monkey business'

Never was any good at lingering or [bleep] around,so will start scritchin' & scratchin' wares, here directly.

I'm likin' the "odds".(grin)

That pattern could get some use. Have you spent much time with S35VN? Picked up a folder in that steel recently but haven't done enough cutting with it (no sharpening yet) to decide on it...

Stick, tag on that S35VN query. Have you used it much and how do you like it? I know steel type is but one part of a good knife with design, blade geometry, heat treat, etc making up a big part.

I've heard S35VN described as a "stainless D2" (although D2 is damn near stainless, itself). Is it more chip resistant than D2? I know it's supposed to be a tougher S30VN and am curious as to your experience.

It ain't what you don't know that makes you an idiot...it's what you know for certain, that just ain't so...

Most people don't want to believe the truth~they want the truth to be what they believe.

Dub,

We prepped and painted our house 2 Summers ago. Took 4 or 5 evenings and a couple long days. Miles of blue tape, pain in the ass(we brushed into the rough siding so it really got a good coat). Can't remember how many gallons, 15-20 or so I think

I pressure washed the old shop out at the farm last Tuesday. That was fun, blasted off a chitload of old paint on the 2 worst sides. Now we just have to wait for the weather to settle and we will spray it down with some Ranch Red.

Ahh, we used to paint houses before breakfast. In the sixth grade. GW gets a pass 'cause he had a plan. GW, it's better to be lucky than good.

Funnier than [bleep],that of all the things you can Imagine and Pretend...results ain't one of 'em.

What didja' almost do today?!!? Laffin'! What didja' almost do it with?!!? Re-laffin'!

'slave,

I'm down to only 3000 some 162's and will prolly haveta' start aimin',here next week or so.(grin)

Slummed some in a [bleep] MK V(7mmRemmieMag) of all [bleep] things today, after an early morning jaunt with Sister on a Velvet Recon Mission. Even had a Conquest onboard, though rumor has it that M1's will arrive early next week.

Was gunning 80TTSX in the Purple Nurple at 3590+ fps, outta it's 22" spout...if only to stay the course.(grin)

You'd think a guy would run a camera adapter?!!?(grin)

Had to peel home early for Sister's work and never yanked a trigger in anger.

Gawked this evening, until 'bout 1/2hr ago and was right proper FogChowed...with a fair victim in Mr. Zeiss.

But it rooted quickly and visibility was over, before it even started.

A leetle more forgiving, right on The Milford.

There'd be no slighting how much time you spend riding the pine, spectatin'.

Congratulations?!?

I'll feign my "surprise",that you barged outta yet another closet...so as to comment on male anatomy.

You neve tire of totin' them rubber dicks in your mouth,do you?!?

Laffin'!

Gee',

Keep the Outdoor Light pics comin'...that schit is great!

Laffin'!

Shefire,

You were doing so "good" too.

Laffin'!

Mojo,

Noone knows less about '35 than I,as I've not used it prior. The pattern simply flat [bleep] ROCKS and his heat treat is always on the money,so I'm thinkin' the "odds" is on my side. Am startin' to savvy all the fuss these Custom Blades rate,as this first is a Peach.

Purty warm to be murderin' mundane meat...though I reckon it'll see some use and won't slip from neglect, any time soon.

The 5' ceiling curtailed the morn's initial impetus, but I've seen me go with the flow weather wise and come out smellin' like a rose.

Film at 11:00.(grin)

Won't be long and you'll be talking to yourself again. Not like that's new answering those voices in your head. Down to what???? two responses a day, they sure are on the edge of their seats waiting on every installment. Soon it will be you and the crickets.
