I've always been interested in a 45 cal. flat nose PP offering since my Darkside indoctrination via the kindness of ET,Jorge & Gunner 500.

Considered having a custom mould cut to match the profile of the Lyman 457121 as it's a field proven go to greaser but got headed off at the pass by Sharpsguy who graciously gifted me one as he has another.Casting and hunting with Keith style bullets in 41&44 mag for many moons made me a believer in this flat nose design for down right getting the job done, can't imagine it won't work in a 45/110 Shiloh !

Ran my usual 30:1 alloy as the mould was set up in the hollow base config and didn't change it.They came in at about 502grs respectfully...as I'm strictly loading KIK 2F the loads tested today were 95 grs with a .250 seat and a very light touch of tapered crimp. These printed a tad lower than my other two PP moulds so I'm guessing maybe a tad more velocity outta this one.Ten shots grouped into 3" for the first go round so I'm happy as that will smoke any deer on the planet.

Thanks and I certainly hope so but I've got to get some longer ranges under my belt as I'm shooting for 100-300 as my hunting comfort zone.it's a hoot experimenting but when the dust clears I'll probably weed out several and settle on one good greaser and PP for hunting..

Agreed nice pics Woody. Groups ok too, nice and consistant rd group.Understand and agree on the hunting distance yardage limitations but don't sell your self on just short range shooting. Up till last weekend I'd never shot mine past 1200 yds and that was cool but last weekend I found that they shoot 1760 yds well with ppb's albeit ones with a higher bc than your hunting slug. 45 2 7/8" the real deal, all the rest are just wannabe's. I'm not sure what is worse. My wife told me that I needed to get one and in the next breath said, "and I want one of those knives."

All I got to do is figure out how to pay for them.

Life is good.
