Looking for a quality spotting scope in the$1000-1400 area that is light enough to take sheep hunting tough and fairly compact?
Thinking hard about this scope.

I'd probably get a proven Leupold Gold Ring HD for that hunt and money. It is the toughest spotter going, great glass, with the best eye relief.

I do wear glasses, is that a problem with this scope?

Forget zeiss if you wear glasses. Eye relief is extremely short too bad I would be interested other wise. Instead you should focus on a scope that accomodates your glasses. For me that is leupold gold ring meopta s2 vortex viper there might be some others but none of the big 3 have a scope that works for me. Pentax may be worth a look but I have never seen one
